The holiday's are approaching fast! Here's a cute party invitation that I put together for an Aunt of mine. She has a yearly brunch and wanted a cute, quick invitation. This worked perfectly!

Cute Bags
Sew... I've been sewing a little and found this bag pattern that I absolutely LOVE! It's a great bag to take to work with your lunch and purse inside, or bring along to the grocery store to grab a few items. I use mine every day!
I decide to make one or two, and then I kept finding cute material and different ways to make them. I now have a family of bags and would like to sell some if anyone is interested. The bags pictured above are for sale for $15-$30. Some have magnetic clasps, some have snaps, some have buttons, some have pockets & some do not. Contact me if you are interested in any of these for more information (liz@lizschaeferdesign.com). I'm also love to create special orders. I'll post more pictures when I finish the next round. Here is a sample of a less expensive invitation. It includes three postcards and can be mailed in a fun envelope. Pick a quote or lyrics from your favorite song to include in your invitation.

Wedding Invitation - Amanda
I had designed this invitation for another friend of mine in pink, but Amanda's colors were green and black and these invitations worked so well with her personality she just had to have them. I hope to post pictures of the wedding after next weekend... looking forward to their big day!

Wedding Invitation - Jamie
These invitations were designed for a friend of a friend of mine. Jamie was wonderful to work with. She had a few ideas of what she wanted her invitations to look like and I worked through all of the details. They were a hit! And I heard through the grapevine that their wedding was beautiful!

Birth Announcements
My husband's cousin had a little girl this summer and I offered to design her birth announcements. Here are a few samples I sent to them to pick from. They emailed me their favorite photo (this photo isn't actually their baby, just a sample image for the design) and then I fit it into the design. They turned out really cute!

Towel Cake - Wedding Shower Gift
This was a gift created for my girlfriend Amanda. I've always wanted to build a towel cake, but never had the time. Something I can now check of my "list-o-things-to-do-someday". The flowers are made out of printed vellum and stuck into the cake with floral wire. I found the pattern online and just did a few different variations.

Painting - Train For Jack
All Aboard! I had a request for some paintings this last week. My girlfriend Kristin's son is celebrating his 4th birthday and is psyched about trains! She bought a cute train quilt from the Land of Nod and asked me to create something to match for his wall. I forgot how long it takes for paint to dry! Hope Jack likes his new artwork.

Gift - Brewers Corn-Hole Game
So, I've taken up painting again (and sewing too). This is a gift we gave to my brother and sister-in-law for their recent birthdays. It's a game we like to play called Corn-Hole. I wanted to give them something fun to take along to the Brewer games, now if they would only use them...

Wedding Invitation - Sarah
Zach & Sarah wanted their wedding invitations feature their engagement photo. This invitation was very cool and fun to design with the different layers and textures! I also designed their programs, table numbers and name cards to match.

Wedding Invitation - Stephanie
This invitation was designed for my good friend Stephanie (and her husband Andy). She wanted to match her invitations to her bridesmaid dresses which were sage in color. Keeping the design simple, made the black and white graphics really stand out. If I remember right... she had planned on having all white roses, but something with her order was mixed up and she received a few pink that created the altar bouquets. I think the colors complimented each other perfectly.

Quincy's 3rd Birthday Party
How fun is this!?!? My girlfriend Beth wanted to be able to email out an invitation to her son’s third birthday… We thought about Evite, but there just isn't room for a cute picture. So I came up with a jpg file that she could email to her guests. She had taken some photo’s of her son at a “Ride-in-the-Digger’s” event and I used one of them to create this email-able invitation.

Lauren's 5th Birthday Party
Celebrating with a splash! One of my girlfriends threw an underwater theme birthday party for her daughter. I designed the invites to be mounted on deep blue cardstock and the fish floated on the top of the invitation to give it a 3-D effect.

Florin Family Holiday Greetings
My cousin Kristin got me started on designing holiday invitations. This one was the first!!! She shot a bunch of images from a summer vacation and wanted to put them all on a holiday greeting. This is what I came up with and they were pleased at how it turned out!
Here is 2007's greeting. It’s so fun to see how the girls change over the years. The girls said they felt like “models” when I sent them the final design. Too cute!
And... 2008's. Pink, pink, pink! Who knew that a holiday card would look so good in PINK. This shot makes me want to go on vacation!!!

Fay Family Holiday Greeting
I know… I know… it’s not even close to December, but I wanted to start putting up some designs that I worked on last year… Here’s a holiday greeting that was designed for my friends The Fay Family. They had family portraits taken by a professional photographer and sent me good shot’s to come up with something creative for their 2008 Holiday Greeting. What cute boys!!!

Welcome To My Blog!
Welcome to my new blog!!! I’ve got so much to share with you! I’ve been trying to find the perfect way to showcase my invitations and announcements and I think this is a great fit. Now I can blog about each project, how the ideas were conceived and executed, and how the finished product looks. Bear with me these first few weeks, I’m a beginner at blogging and there may be some hiccup’s along the way.
Enjoy and come back soon! - Liz
